We are pleased to share the results of the 2026 Corporate Sustainability Awards from Altaris Business Awards. This year’s winners and finalists reflect a broad and credible view of sustainability in practice, from governance-led transformation and circular economy infrastructure to carbon reduction technologies and practical net zero strategy. What connects them is a focus on delivery: not sustainability as positioning, but sustainability as something designed into systems, operations and long-term decision-making.
2026 Corporate Sustainability Award Winners
A strong overall winner, LEMBAGA ZAKAT SELANGOR (MAIS) secured Sustainability Champions of the Year through a notably rounded approach to sustainable leadership. Its governance structure, formal ESG framework, sustainability reporting, operational improvement programmes and environmental initiatives all point to an organisation treating sustainability as a serious institutional responsibility. That breadth matters. Alongside large-scale social impact, the organisation has embedded transparency, efficiency and environmental stewardship into how it operates, making this a convincing top honour.
For Best Net Zero Strategy, Persustain Sustainability Services Ltd stood out for approaching decarbonisation as a matter of systems, governance and practical implementation rather than headline claims. Its work centres on building tailored transition pathways, aligning carbon strategy with financing and reporting requirements, and helping organisations move from broad ambition to accountable action. That emphasis on realism, verification and long-term capability gave this win real substance.
The Best Carbon Reduction Initiative award goes to Organicco Ltd, whose ecoMAN-CART model tackles plastic waste and carbon emissions together through a circular technology approach. By converting unrecyclable plastic waste into recycled carbon fuel that can be refined into sustainable aviation fuel, the initiative addresses multiple environmental pressures within one integrated system. Its strength lies not only in technical innovation, but in presenting a credible pathway for carbon reduction linked to waste transformation and industrial reuse.
In winning Best Green Initiative, RECSOL, LLC was recognised for building Georgia’s first modern tyre recycling plant and closing a major gap in the country’s waste infrastructure. The project creates domestic processing capacity where there previously was none, turning end-of-life tyres into reusable material rather than leaving them to be exported, stockpiled or lost to the environment. With significant investment, nationwide collection links and clear circular economy value, this is the kind of initiative that changes what is practically possible within a market.
The Corporate Sustainability Advocate award recognises Uniq Management Group, LLC for promoting sustainability through the discipline of procurement and industrial advisory. Its contribution is especially clear in the RECSOL project, where sustainability criteria were applied to sourcing, negotiation and long-term plant viability, but the wider case is just as important. By treating every procurement decision as an environmental decision and reinforcing that through client work, thought leadership and internal practice, Uniq presents advocacy as something operational and commercially grounded.

A Broader View of Sustainable Progress
What we value in these awards is a version of sustainability that moves beyond surface-level commitment. The stronger entries this year showed clear thinking about governance, accountability, infrastructure, measurement and long-term usefulness. In different ways, they demonstrated that credible sustainability work often depends on integrating environmental aims with finance, operations, procurement, reporting and community outcomes rather than treating them as separate conversations.
This year’s recognised organisations also reflect the range of forms that progress can take. Some are building frameworks and strategies that help others act more credibly. Others are developing technologies or facilities that directly reduce waste, emissions or environmental risk. Across the board, the most compelling work was practical, accountable and designed to last.
